I began my training in Holistic Medicine, Bodywork and Nutrition at The Heartwood Institute In Northern California in 2001-02. The tutelage of Paul Pitchford, author of "Healing with Whole Foods" gave me a strong foundation in Integrative Nutrition, and inspired me to further my degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine. I received my Master's in Science, Oriental medicine from the Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine College, Berkeley where I currently serve on the faculty and as the Dean of Students. In addition, I trained as an Instructor in Wild Goose Qi Gong under Master Hui Liu at the Wen Wu School of Martial Arts in El Cerrito, California; and with Dr. Suzanne Friedman in Medical Qi Gong.
Following graduation I sought additional training in many areas including: Facial Acupuncture, various esotheric styles of acupuncture practice, Dermatology, Contact Needling, and many other modalities.
